FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a repair last?
Spray-injection repairs are intended as permanent repairs. Service life depends on the condition of the surrounding pavement and the traffic it carries. Repairs we performed under earlier contracts remain in service years later.
Does the road need to close?
No extended closure is required. Work is performed under standard traffic control, and the lane reopens as soon as each repair is complete.
How soon can traffic drive on a repair?
Immediately. Compaction occurs during injection, so there is no cure or cooling period.
How big a crew do you send?
One operator performs the repair. Flaggers and additional traffic control personnel are added when the agency’s traffic control plan requires them.
Can you work in cold or damp conditions?
The process is cold-applied, so it does not depend on hot-mix temperatures. High-pressure air cleans and dries the defect before material is placed.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Certificates and endorsements are provided to agencies on request.
Can you work under an existing on-call contract?
Yes. On-call and as-needed pothole repair is the core of our municipal work.
Where do you work?
We are based in Chula Vista, California, and hold current on-call contracts in Northern California, including the City of Vallejo and the City of Stockton. We have performed public contract work across Southern California and in Texas. For private property elsewhere in California, contact us with the location and we will tell you whether we can schedule it.
What kinds of defects can you repair?
Potholes, pavement edge failures, utility cuts, alligatored sections, and shoulder deterioration.
Do you repair potholes on private property?
Yes. We repair potholes on commercial parking lots, HOA and private roads, truck yards, distribution centers, and school and campus lots. The process is the same as our municipal work.
How is spray injection different from throw-and-roll cold patch?
Throw-and-roll places cold mix into an uncleaned hole and relies on traffic to compact it. Spray injection cleans the defect with high-pressure air, bonds it with a tack coat, and injects emulsion-coated aggregate under pressure so compaction occurs during injection.
Are you licensed and registered in California?
Yes. We hold CSLB C-12 License No. 973829 and DIR Registration No. 1000027221.
